ABOUT

Our Roots

Here at Yellow Wheels we promote clean water and sanitation for all. The wheels that we design are provided to villages in rural Kenya and through your support we can improve accessibility of clean water for countless individuals.

THE DESIGN

After careful deliberation, we finalised the design of our wheel. In order for the product to be effective, we believe it has to be simple and easy for anyone to use. Through this process, we had to consider the terrain, the weather conditions, the durability and the cost-effectiveness of the design.

ABOUT THE NANOFILTER

Nanofiltration is a new and upcoming method of membrane filtration to purify water. It is often used with surface water and fresh groundwater to remove the soluble substances larger than 0.001 micrometers and is 99.99% effective. Our filter comes in a spiral-wound format and is made from several materials such as synthetic polymers, ceramics and more.
